Getting to know Mrs. Talmark
Hello! I am Mrs. Talmark, and I am a first grade teacher at Lockwood School. I was born in Billings and grew up in Lockwood with my parents and younger sister. I attended Lockwood School for kindergarten through eighth grade and Senior High for high school. After high school, I attended Montana State University - Billings where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in reading. Throughout high school and college I was active in cheerleading and worked at the Billings Gymnastics School. In 2006, I completed my student teaching experience at Lockwood in kindergarten, and I LOVED it! The following year I was fortunate enough to be offered a kindergarten class of my own, and I taught kindergarten for nine years. In the fall of 2012, I decided to enroll in graduate school and am happy to announce that, in May of 2014, I graduated with my Master's degree in Elementary Reading and Mathematics. In the fall of 2016, I began teaching first grade and am excited to begin my second year in this exciting grade!
Outside of the classroom, my life revolves around my family. In 2006, I married my husband Nic, and we built a house in Lockwood. We now have three adorable little boys who make sure to keep life interesting, exciting, and FUN! Kaden (in the plaid shirt in the pictures above) turned 9 in December, and Kody (in the white shirt) turned 8 six days later. Needless to say, December is a very busy month at our house! In July of 2015, we welcomed our third little boy, Kooper, and life has been wild ever since! When we are not chasing our boys around, we also enjoy catching the Bobcat football games, camping, traveling, skiing, and surrounding ourselves with family and friends.
I look forward to getting to know each of my students and their families this year!
